VYR to Victoria Inner Harbour

Hello,

Done some research but am still a bit confused. It seems like the Vancouver to Victoria BC Ferry is a nice and cheap journey; however, it's like 45 minutes to an hour each way from the ferry stops respectively. I do not want to rent a car.

Seems like Skytrain - Bridgeport then Bus 620 to Tsawwassen is the best bet, maybe 45 minutes or so? But, how do I do something like this from Swartz Bay to Victoria Inner Harbour hotel? Is there a bus from YVR to Victoria Inner Harbour that I should consider?

Thank you.

I have taken a bus from the ferry at Swartz Bay to inner Harbor.
It was fine, inexpensive but as I recall, not a direct route.

You can take the city bus 72 from Swartz Bay to the inner harbor. It's only 2.50 but takes over an hour. You can look at the schedule info at the BC Transit website.

Or you can take a Pacific Coach Lines bus from the ferry into Victoria. Look at Pacific Coach Lines website and you can see the info on buying a bus ticket while you're onboard the ferry. It will cost more and take a bit less time--but still close to an hour.

pacific coach runs a bus to ferry to downtown victoria from the main rail sation in vancouver ( sky train is across the street. you go into the rail terminal and buy your ticket. the bus goes onto the ferry. after the beautiful crossing you get back onto the bus which goes to downtown victoria. seamless but approaching 4 hours dt to dt.

if you want a beautiful much quicker albeit more $. take harbour air's float planes. from the base of the convention centre in vancouver to the inner harbor dt in victoria, 35 minutes.

there are specials available throughout the week if you book early. there are supersavers published late wednesday evening w/ deep dicounts on the weekend

cheers

Coming back to this. They've changed the company from Pacific Coach, but it looks like there is a bus that would take me all the way from Victoria Bus Station to YVR airport Sunday night, using the Ferry, for about 67 dollars. This might be the easier thing to do and not have me changing multiple buses late on a Sunday night. I think Friday I might try the two buses and the ferry myself - would probably be cheaper, or I could just do the whole coach/ferry experience myself. It really does seem easier!

Now, if I only I figured this out sooner and went instead from Seattle to Victoria! But, that's a moot point!
