During drive from Montreal to Quebec City I wantd to stop one or two times (preferably for lunch) in one of the villages along the river. Is there one place any of you have as memorable and wonderful to not miss. It would be a Friday drive between the cities.

There are a few nice villages on the north shore of the river between Trois-Rivières and Quebec City. Deschambault is worth a stop. Nice church & riverfront park. Take A-40 east, exit at Champlain and follow 138 east to Quebec City.

Look on a map for the following. Get almost to Quebec City on the Nort shore route. Take the Bridge to get to Levi (I think I should have explored a bit but didn't) And enter QC via the ferry for $10.00 or so. the view is worth every bit of the trouble and expense.
