Vancouver -Whistler

Jump to last reply

Hello and thank you in advance for your advice.

I posted this question before and I came to the conclusion from your answeres that it is better not to rent a car.
This was my question:
I will be in a conference in Whistler the 7/30-8/4/ 2012
What would be cheaper

1.To Rent a car from Vancouver, stay (a day or 2 in Vancouver) and then drive to Whistler? or take a shuttle from Vancouver to Whistler and rent a car in Whistler?
Now the round trip by Pacific coach is $113 per adult and we are 3 adults.
I checked carrentals..com for rates and it is about $300 a week on a standard car. Now maybe the rates are going to be higher but still it seems cheaper to rent a car and it gives one more flexibility
Is there any other way ?

Thanks again for your answers
