As part of our trip to the US and Canada next year, we will have a couple of weeks to spend in Vancouver, Victoria Island, Seattle and surrounds.
We have been to Vancouver before and spent a couple of days in Victoria itself, so will not need to go back there. We would like to visit Tofino,Ucelet , Port Hardy ?? etc and the area for bear viewing.
We will fly out from Seatle to New York and have not been here before.
What areas do you think we should look at visiting. We will be hiring a car and probably will use the ferry system. The time in Vancouver will be used to get over the long flight from Australia.
We did Banff, Jasper, Edmonton etc last time but did not go to Whistler.
Is this worth a trip?
Look forward to your thoughts and suggestions

Trip Ideas
Tofino and Ucluelet for sure - 30 minutes apart and well worth
the drive. If you go be sure to reserve a place as early as
possible - it's a very popular part of the world.
The sea-to-sky corridor is a beautiful scenic drive and
Whistler has lots to recommend itself to visitors. Big
plus is its doablility from Vancouver or, if you prefer,
it has lots of accommodation for overnighting.
Port Hardy is really the 'Wild West' (actually 'North')
but if you have the time and inclination you are going to
get to an authentic part of the west coast.
My husband and I were just in Vancouver and Seattle last week and had a great time! If I can offer you one piece of advice, it would be to take the Underground Tour while in Seattle. We often take city tours when holidaying, and this was by far one of the best we have been on! The city has a very interesting history and the tour is also very funny (and all in tunnels beneath the streets!).
Also - plan on making the trip across the border mid-week, as the wait can be very long on the weekends.
Have fun!
Thanks for your replies.
I have been away for a week and am just checking back.

You mean 'Vancouver' Island.
