VANCOUVER RESTAURANT WITH A VIEW
I plan to be in Vancouver for 2 days in August and I'm looking for a nice restaurant that offers diners a view of the city while dining other than the Top of Vancouver revolving restaurant. I would be very grateful for any suggestions you can offer. Thank you.

Thank you for your suggestions. Because we won't have a car, I think the Salmon House would be difficult to get to. We plan to be at the Capillano Suspension Bridge that day, taking the free shuttle bus from downtown to the bridge. How difficult would it be to get to the Teahouse in Stanley Park from the suspension bridge?

I see the shuttle has pickup at the Westin Bayshore so I'm assuming it also has drop off there. From there it would be a quick cab ride to the other side of the park to get to the Teahouse. Or Lift is another lovely place to eat and that is just steps away from the Bayshore. (literally steps away). It has a nice patio and great views of the mountains and the harbour. (sea planes landing, boats etc)
The food there is a mix of sushi, steak, seafood. I've eaten there a few times, always nice.
Agree with sundriedtopepo that Provence Marinaside is nice, views not as great as Teahouse or Lift but good people watching and you look onto False Creek. Food has always been good at Provence.
Seasons in the Park in Queen Elizabeth park is very nice too with views over the city and toward the mountains, you would need to take a cab there from downtown...not too far but too far to walk.

You're welcome sundriedtopepo. Not the absolute best food in town but good and the atmosphere and location are great.
Kloozie if you like Italian I can recommend Lupo which is at 869 Hamilton St. near the corner of Smithe and Hamilton. Not sure where your hotel is but this is downtown, kind of on the edge of Yaletown.
The restaurant is in an old house and the food is delicious. I have had dinner there twice this month.
