Vancouver Chinatown Night Markets

My reading tells me that both the Richmond area Chinatown and the older Keeler St. area Chinatown have night markets on Friday night. Hoping to find someone who has been to both and can advise me on which to select since we will only have time for one. Thanks for any help.

If you get no response here- try tripadvisor forum. One of the destination experts, bc_robyn, seemed very knowledgeable about Richmond Night Market and Chinatown stuff in general.

The Chinatown Night Marker is kaput but is (+ or -) replaced by the Plaza of Nations Market on Saturday nights.

The two Richmond Markets continue-Be Advised that both are Very Crowded with teenage kids buying cell phone accessories-not to everyone's taste.

Thank you both for such helpful replies. I'll research everything you've sent. Looks like we may not be doing a market at night but have to be content with what we can pick up in daylight. While I was looking forward to a night market (have fond memories of the one in Beijing), it was going to present a logisitcal difficulty with our other plans so I'll not be heartbroken if we decide against it based on your info. Again, thanks.

Ok, I got a chance to look at all the info you sent. I can't thank you enough. If I had dragged my husband to any of those incredibly crowded venues filled primarily with teens he'd have freaked. You've probably saved a marriage with your helpful info.
