Two choices for PEI house for a week; which is better?

Okay, we're down to two choices for the house for our trip, which will be a one-week "road trip" followed by a week in PEI doing Anne stuff and hiking and maybe horseback riding and just generally relaxing! This will be early to mid July.

Both of the houses are Victorian and appealing to my late-teen and 20-something nieces and to me, as far as that goes; it's a nice change from the OBX and Ocean City beach houses. One is in a very isolated location which appeals to one of them, the other is more central.

So, here's the choices:

Roseleaf Manor: http://victoriainnpei.com/Roseleaf_Manor.php One acre property next door to Victoria Inn, quite close to Confederation Trail, 10 minutes drive to beach (but this isn't primarily a beach vacation.)

Wexford Heritage House: http://www.wexfordheritagehouse.com/accommodations.html
Surrounded by golf courses and potato fields, probably 45 minutes or so to Cavendish, on South shore. Walk to beach, great views.

Niece doesn't mind extra driving and likes the isolation of Wexford, but also really likes the overall look of Roseleaf Manor. To me they're equally appealing, so I'm putting them out here to see if there's something we've overlooked in the calculations...and just to get some helpful opinions, really!
