Travel clubs in BC for single seniors?
My Dad, at the age of 80, has finally decided it's time to travel to Europe as a tourist. The last time he was there he was in the RCAF during WWII.
Do you know of a travel club for single seniors? He lives in Langley, BC and prefers not to drive into Vancouver (thank goodness!)
Thanks for your help!

Cameron, you might want to take a look at a company called Eldertreks www.eldertreks.com out of Toronto. I've passed along the information to my parents who are also aging travellers. From what I understand its more "active" than a seniors bus tour but also more educational. Some of their trips sound very interesting.
Also, I have an aunt and uncle that love Elder Hostel trips -- it is definately more "adventure" but again its an organized tour for older travellers interested in history and culture. Not sure of their website.
You may also want to post your question on the Europe board.

Thanks, hydra! I will check out your suggestions.
My Dad has more than the usual health problems for an 80 year old. He is able to walk well but not able to climb many steps. I am hoping to find him a very easy trip.
Thanks, again.

Hi traveller! Nice to see you again.
All of my family is Canadian, since 1835. I am the only one who married a Yank and moved south. But I'm still a Canadian with a Canadian passport.
Thank you so much for the website!
My mother and I are going to Paris for two weeks in Oct. Want to help me plan that trip? Just kidding!

Hi Cameron
I am glad I could help! Traveling is my passion but I have to live vicariously through other peoples trips sometimes - I wasn't smart enough to marry a millionaire!!! Let me know how the plans are going - maybe I will have some more bright ideas.
PS my daughter married a Yank too and is living happily in San Francisco but she still keeps that Canadian passport.
