Toronto - Free Concert Friday night

Jump to last reply

An acquaintance sent me this ".....about this free concert, tomorrow night ( Fri. Oct. 21st.), 7 pm., at the Toronto Reference Library, on Yonge St, just north of Bloor.

... there’s a great lineup of Canadian and local folk performers, including a Juno award winner, people from the old Yorkville Riverboat Folk club, and a number of people she knows from her days in the folk / pop music business.

Interestingly, when the concert ends, people will walk out the door, and be looking across the street to Yorkville: possibly the only thing there now that is still relevant to this topic may be the Heritage plaque, commemorating the old Yorkville, and the place where Joni Mitchell and Gord Lightfoot and the rest of the gang got their start.""
