Toronto - drive time from airport to downtown?

Greetings,

Flying into Toronto (Pearson) Thursday morning arriving just after 11am. I need to meet up with some folks for lunch downtown, near the Westin. Can anyone advise estimated drive time taking a taxi from airport to downtown?

Thank you,
Ellie

I would plan on 45 minutes from the time you get into the cab. It might be a bit less, but better to be safe than sorry.

Another vote for 45 minutes, considering that you won't have to park the car.

I've driven that route several times in the past week, and traffic is not awful, like it was most of the summer.

I'd plan for a one o'clock reservation, assuming a landing at 11 and then having to get out of the airport.

Limos are better than cabs in Toronto, and just as easy to catch at the airport.

I would definately say 45 mins to an hour. I would book a 1:30pm lunch to be on the safe side. The Toronto Traffic has been terrible as of lately!

I always do "Pre-Arranged limo" @ Pearson. For T1, go to Area D.
For T3, go to Post 29. For both, follow overhead signs for "Pre-Arranged Limo".

45 minutes ought to do it on Thursday morning in your time frame.

Are you able to fly Porter - takes you minutes away from the Westin? Nice thing, departure requires you be there only 30 minutes before. Lovely lounge, complimenary soft drinks/coffee, snacks, papers and a large bank of computers.
