Toronto 2 nights from Buffalo

Jump to last reply

Torontonians, I'm looking for a just a few ideas from you.

I have a free anniversary night to use from Hyatt. Thought about a staycation in downtown Buffalo but that bored me, so Toronto it is. We are adding a paid night. Due to the high prices of parking in Toronto, we are going to park in Niagara Falls (Ontario side) and take the direct VIA train to Toronto after work on Friday. We will arrive around 8:00 p.m. Staying at the Hyatt Regency King Street. We will probably grab some drinks and light fare at the hotel (unless you have suggestions for someplace nearby).

On Saturday, we will do some favorite things like going to the St. Lawrence Market and then lunch at Marche. Then on to the Ripley's Aquarium (the real reason for this weekend trip). OR.......should we arrive at the SLM early then go to Ripley's before the crowds? Marche isn't a deal breaker. I just like it, but I wouldn't lose any sleep if I missed it.

Dinner on Saturday needs to be casual, fun......NOT fancy. Could be near the Hyatt on King Street or a short cab ride away. Any recommendations for a Portuguese restaurant?

Thanks in advance!
