we are a family with two young daughters 4 + 1, we arrive in vancouver 21st may and head to gibsons for 7 nights. then we go to cultus lake for 4 nights, from there we are off to sooke vanvouver island then the last 4 nights in vancouver. anything in particular we should see of do??

Gibsons, Cultus Lake, Sooke? Sounds like you are looking for some down time.
From Sooke, there is French beach, China beach and Botannical beach In Jordan River. All good for a day hike with kids along the coast. Bring your own sandwiches and thermos. Shakies in Jordan River does oysterburgers.
Oops, please excuse. Botanical beach if in Port Renfrew.
