Stay inside Algonquin park

Hi friends! My kids are having their summer vacation, and we are planning for a trip. This time it’s the Algonquin park. I would want to explore the best parts of Algonquin, specially the wildlife. But stay is a major issue.I want my lodging to be not too far from my tripping places. Wildlife, Algonquin logging museum,Bat museum,Bat lake,Fire Tower trail etc. I've heard of Killarney Lodge, and I've gone through their website, http://www.killarneylodge.com/ It seems to be a good one. What attracted me is the rate of the cabins. It seems to be fair. Has anyone got an experience in there? If yes please do comment on their cuisine and their overall service.

that's strange. i read this as an open request for an opinion. i opened the website and it sure looks lovely (although not inexpensive) it appears the present owners have been operating since 1984, unless they are desparados hiding in the bush, that sounds like a labour of live. it's a bit far afield for me living in victoria, but never say never.i never imagined i would have been spending the first week of this past may in st john's nl and that was a big WOW!

i'd like to hear from anyone who has visited this place

cheers

This question is difficult to answer. Most outdoor types would find the highway that runs beside the resort a major deterrent. A real city person would think they were in the middle of nowhere.

I have driven by the resort thirty times and stopped a few times. It is picturesque. It has a very good reputation. I hope you decide quickly as it is quite late in the summer.
