Sim Card for Data in the US and Canada

I will travel for 7 days to the US this month and then 10 days to Canada in July, next month.

I need to buy nano sim card for my unlocked iphone and then choose a carrier and a prepaid plan.
Is there any carrier with good data fees? Maybe one that can give me good data plans in US (Buffalo, NY) and Canada (Montreal, Quebec City and 1 day in Toronto)

I usually spend 3-5 Gb per month, so I would probably need around 1-2 GB for each trip (maybe less if there is enough wifi neetwork)

Which carrier should I look for? Is there any recommended plan for my needs? It has to be prepaid or with no contract since I don´t live in the US or Canada.

Thanks!!
B
