restaurant convenient to Toronto Hilton and Royal Ontario Museum
Is there a good but moderately priced restaurant in this general area? My husband and I will be one night only in Toronto but don't want to break the bank. We like all different kinds of food--all ethnic varieties, brew pubs, etc. Thanks.

Verona is in the opposite direction (south of the ROM and south of the Hilton, instead of between the two).
Toronto has a great selection of moderately priced restaurants, and all sorts of different types of ethnic food. (Actually, what I misss most about Toronto is the restaurants.)
The College Street strip is between the Hilton and the ROM, as is Baldwin Street. College St has a lot of Italian restaurants but a number of other options, too. It's a good location to get a feel for Toronto nightlife - go for a drink one place, to dinner somewhere else, and then go for coffee and ice cream at a third. One of my favourite restaurants on Baldwin St is Matahari Grill, which serves Malaysian food.
There are also a number of good restaurants on Queen St, just west and a little north of the Hilton. There's East, a moderately priced (but quite trendy-looking) Asian restaurant. And, for a moderate splurge, check out the recently opened Nota Bene.

This isn't, in Toronto terms, a "general area."
The ROM is in Yorkville, which is pretty much one area, and the Hilton is either in the business district or the entertainment district, depending on which door you use.
Subway joins them; St. Andrews station at the Hilton to Museum Station at the museum.
Lots of restaurants around each, but not much in between.
By "lots" I mean dozens.

Thanks for this information!
Matahari Grill looks very good, and a Google search of College Street turned up many other places I think we'd like. Kalendar in particular looked like our kind of place.
Many thanks.
