PEI Activities

I am leaning towards planning a destination wedding on PEI during Aug/Sept and was looking to my fellow fodorites to help me out. We will have 4 days there (not including driving time to and from).

1) What are the must-do's and unique activities on PEI. 2) General thoughts on PEI vs. Nova Scotia vs. New Brunswick (near Moncton area) for a elegant private wedding reception? for about 20 people? I'm leaning towards keeping it at PEI, but interested in people's thoughts. 3) I will be driving to PEI from NYC. Initially NYC - Portland (spending 1 night)- CAT FERRY to Yarmouth, NS (spending a 2 nights) - PEI. I need help on what to see and do in Nova Scotia while driving through. On the way back, we were thinking of driving (no ferry) PEI - Bangor (stopping by Acadia)- Portland - NYC. Would love to hear what people suggests for pit stops along the way.
