We'll be taking a shore excursion to Peggy's Cove in October on our cruise. Is there often fog? Would we be better off planing an afternoon tour? Thanks!

Flip a coin - you never know if you encounter fog or not? Sorry I can't be more specific than that.
We were at Peggy's Cove last month, got there at 5.00pm the sun was out got some great photo's.By 5.10pm the mist came in,that was it no more great views.Good luck on the day.
I went there in October 2002. No chance of any fog as there was 30+ MPH (50+ km/h) gust along the NS coast for the whole week. I could hardly walk out to the lighthouse at Peggy's Cove.
