Does the Clipper walk-on ferry run from Seattle to Victoria in October? And where/how can I prearrange a bus from the ferry to Victoria and Buchart Gardens? Or do I need to prearrange? I'd hate to miss the last bus back to the Clipper! Thanks for your help! I'm getting very confused!

The ferry lands at the part of Victoria that tourists want to see, so you won't need a bus---you are already there. For schedule go to clippervacations.com. Re: bus tours go to http://www.grayline.com/Grayline/destinations/canada/victoria.go
If possible, I'd recommend spending one night in Victoria because the ferry ride is long and tiring and IMO too exhausting to do a round trip in one day.
