Northern Lights

Jump to last reply

We are flying into Edmonton Thursday from Indiana to visit our daughter who is attending grad school at the University of Alberta. We are driving Friday to Lake Louise and staying overnight there and spending the day at Lake Louise ski resort. We will be driving back to Edmonton Saturday night and flying out of Edmonton Sunday afternoon. I notice by looking at the Aurora Watch through the University there was a red alert last night for the northern lights. I looked further into it on other sites and it looks like it could possibly be active over the time we are there. Is Lake Louise too far south to try to see them if an alert should happen? Also we will be driving North back to Edmonton Saturday night. Would that open up a possibility to see them as well if an alert should become active? I would venture out from Lake Louise Friday night if the opportunity arose and just wondered if there was a place or direction that may offer us a bit of luck. I know this is all probably wishful thinking but any input from the experienced would be greatly appreciated . Thank You
