Nice place to stay in s.ont

My fiance and I have a two day layover in Ontario before our flight leaves for our honeymoon. We are getting married in london, ont and are departing from Toronto. We are looking for a nice place to stay for 1-2 days after the wedding. Preferrably 1-3 hours from london. any suggestions?

I think that Niagara On The Lake would be a good choice. There are some excellent accommodation choices and there is a lot to do in the area (i.e. biking, wine tours, jet boat rides, Shaw festival, Casino Niagara, Niagara Falls, etc.)

Stratford is also lovely - especially if you enjoy live theatre and good restaurants. The Stratford festival will help you book lodging in your price range as well! Niagara-on-the-lake is also very pretty.

Langdon Hall is a beautiful inn just outside of Kitchener (half way between London and Toronto)and very near Stratford if you want to take in a play.

While it's not cheap - it would be the perfect honeymoon spot, and the food is wonderful.

You can see it at the following web site:

Congratulations!

The town of St Jacobs is also a really nice place to stay. It is a Menonite town with lots of quiant little shops. We stayed at Jakobstettel Guest House and it was wonderful. (They do have a web sight that you could look at...search Jakobstettel)
Good luck.

I suggest Langdon Hall Contry House Hotel in Cambridge, Ontario. Very romantic! Approx 1 hr from London and 1 hr from Toronto. Check out their web site at: www.clemmer.ca/langdon.htm or call 1-800-268-1898.
St. Jacob's is a nice tourist area and is only 15 minutes from Cambridge.
Have fun.

Someone has already suggested Stratford - lovely place, theatre, etc. I stayed at the Forest Motel - secluded, in a forest, lovely lake out front, well-run, immaculate, non-smoking, not fancy, nice and quiet. Very restful.
