My girlfriend and I have been planning a 2.5 week trip out of Baltimore, through NE, and ultimately into Newfoundland to visit some of her cousins in St. John's. Another thread of mine here in the forums has produced a wealth of valuable recommendations, but recent events may have altered our plan and, thus, shifted the focus of my request for information.

We're now contemplating surprising her parents, who are meeting us in St. John's, with our very own wedding! What I need is an ideal location. As we're based in St. John's and keeping this a secret (except from the cousins), our radius of travel is somewhat limited, perhaps an hour drive out of town? We're both dreaming of the coast overlooking the ocean. It would be a very intimate event, with just us, the parents, and a few cousins I'm guessing. One recommendation I've already gotten was Cape Spear, but I wonder what would happen if the weather turned sour?

Any info regarding locations, weddings, etc would be greatly appreciated!
