Hello everyone,
Has anyone stayed at the above residence before? It seems like a pretty good deal for the two nights we will be in Toronto, but was wondering if anyone had any experience with it?
Thanks!

Tayjamarie, I don't know what you mean by "the new" rez. My son & his friends stayed @ U of T summer rez last summer & it was fine.....inexpensive, clean (U of T supplies towels), close to subway.
It's the residence for "New College" at U of T.
Rooms are small but the location is excellent and I am sure it's cheaper than just about anywhere else.
"New College". Thanks semiramis! I have never heard it referred to as "new college"!!!
U of T has several colleges:
University college - my old college
Trinity College
New College
St Michael's college
Woodsworth College
Innis College
Victoria

Yes, & "New College" opened almost 50 years ago!!
Victoria College stars in Relic Hunter.
BAK
And New College at Oxford is over 600 years old!
Sigh how time flies. I attended New College when it was *almost* new. And now my daughter is an alumna of New.
QSJ, Wow! I have been experiencing that same time effect lately!

Just in case anyone else searches for this, I stayed there two nights last week and was not too impressed with it. If you are looking for bare bones, cheap place to stay, it is fine. However, I am sure you could find a hostel that would be nicer for a similar price. The beds are squeaky and uncomfortable, the doors all slam as they lock automatically, and you can hear everything going on in the hallways all the time, so sleep is difficult. The bathroom situation was not great either. I have stayed in other residence before that were much nicer. My room also was near the kitchen so it smelled like everyone's meals all the time. It is in a good location, but that's about the only positive.
