Hello, Has anyone stayed at the new Embassy Suites in Montreal? I was wondering if the neighborhood is a good, central one to stay in? Also, any restaurants, activities, etc. that might appeal to my 2 boys ages 14 and 18? We're thinking Mont Royal hike, hockey game--if we can get tix-- good restaurants, etc. We're planning on staying 5 nights or so. Are things open during Christmas week--is the city lively? Thanks for the advice!

Trip Ideas

We haven't stayed at the Embassy Suites. they are in Old Montreal which is a nice but touristy part of the city. We prefer to stay in the downtown or Plateau sections.
The tourism site has an events calendar and other good information about the city

If you check under Experience Montreal, then neighborhoods, you will see a description of different areas of the city. the part they call "double decker city" is what I am referring to as downtown.
