Recently spent five days in Montreal at the Rotary International Conference. Can't resist sharing a couple of our best picks.
First, we stayed at a wonderful inn: Auberge Les Passants de Sans Soucy at 171 Rue de Saint-Paul Ouest in the Old Town. Classic Vieux Montreal building, very hospitable staff, great hot breakfast and right in the heart of Old Town, an easy walk to the best of Montreal.
We had two especially lovely dinners, one at Les Pyrennes 120 Rue St-Paul Ouest--Spanish fusion menu. We had tilapia, pork chops, pasta, veal stew--all were excellent. The second at Porto Mar, less than a block from our Auberge. Portuguese cuisine, lots of fresh fish. Delightful. Great service.
Montreal--perfect choice for a lovely long weekend.

Niagara Falls - fun weekend

"Montreal--perfect choice for a lovely long weekend." I couldn't agree more! We've done about 20 of these in the past 20 years or so. We will check out these restaurants at some point.
