Montreal breakfast

We'll be staying in old Montreal and want to visit the Jean Talon market on Sunday morning. Is there a nice place kind of in either area for a nice Sunday breakfast? Not a crazy, lining up for miles, kind of place but great food at reasonable prices - maybe a neighbourhood grille/diner kind of place?

Make a reservation at Thursday's at Hotel de la Montagne. Then head over to Jean Talon.

Donna,

What's with you and the Hotel de la Montagne. You seem to reccomend it it every post regarding Montreal. I stayed there this past summer, and except for it's great location, the hotel was a dump. The lobby bar you rave about was filled with over-middle aged smoking hags and the whole hotel reeked of smoke because of it. The staff was unfriendly and I would only reccomend this hotel to a group of guys or women who will use it as a base for a stag or stagette party. Do you work for the hotel?

Try Chez Cora, which is a delightful breakfast spot with an enormous menu on St. Laurent near Sherbrooke. The restaurant is very casual and bright. The waitstaff are effervescent. Breakfast choices are plentiful, and the portions are large.

Thanks Leslie. I'm trying to get my bearings. If we leave hotel Continental to go to Jean Talon market is Cora's on the way? half way? closer to one or the other? Thakns.
