Looking for romantic , intimate restaurant in Oakville or Mississauga

Does anyone have any ideas of where to go for a small romantic meal. I'm looking for something with a warm cozy feeling, so not too big, or not with bright glaring lights.
I don't care what the cost is.
It can be very upscale or a quaint little place.
Thanks for any help.

It's been ages, but 'Jonathans' in Oakville was the place for special occasions.
Close to Glenn Abbey on Lakeshore Blvd. there is also 'Olivers.'

Gemelli, thanks so much. I had not thought of either of them, but have heard wonderful things about them.
They both fit the bill!

My vote goes for Thai Satay & More
187 Cross, Oakville, Ontario • (905) 338-7934

It's accross the street from the Oakville Via Rail station.

The best Thai restaurant in the GTA.

A friend suggests Julia, on the main street in downtown Oakville, on the south side, closer to the Trafalger end of the strip than the Navy end of the strip.

Thanks very much for the additional suggestions. I have not heard of either one, so I'm really happy with the input.
Hmmm, seems like I'll have to go for more than one dinner!!! What a hardship!

The Thai restaurant is a long way from qualifying as romanitc and intimate, as far as I could tell driving by this afternoon.

Thanks Brian.
I've also been told that Saucy's in Streetsville is nice. So I'll have to try that one too! Julia's sounds really special.

Brian - Appearances are deceptive...you should have stopped and checked Thai Satay & More out. Inside is cozy and the food is great.
The exteriors on many restaurants in TO do not convey the food experience inside.

A second restaurant I can recommend is Malhottra's in Mississauga behind the Silver City on Dundas and 403. It's French/Indian cuisine is fab.

Please consider the Cherry Hill House in Mississauga. I ate there only once, because it's not near me, but I thought it was great. The ambience can't be described as anything other than romantic. Go to this site, and you can see some photos - have to click on them to see the whole photo. Food was really good, too - don't be thrown off by the surrounding plaza/parking lot feeling. When you get inside, it's like you've stepped into another world. I think you'll have to copy and paste this into your browser - don't think I can link it for you http://www.toronto.com/infosite/234890/

Kira ,
Thanks so much! It looks fabulous.
I will definately be going there!
You are right, that particular area probably would have scared me off, but the pictures are beautiful and the menu looks so good!
