Try an executive suite rental service. In Toronto we have several agencies that rent out condos/apartments and I'm sure you will find the same in Vancouver. Try 411.com for listing of short term apartments. Also contact bay/bloor executive suite rentals in t.o. to see if they operate in Van. My family stayed in an apartment/hotel downtown in Vancouver which was just about to become a Marriott. We had a condo, but unfortunately we weren't on the water. Had a great view, tho'.

Check out this site - I used them when I was bringing clients over from the US - All I can say is negotiate hard...

http://www.home-suite-home.com/

Another contact is:
http://www.rosellensuites.com/
(A favourite of mine) - Again - negotiate!! BC tourism is hard hit at the moment - they need tourists and they need to accept that they are part of this global economy..

Good luck...
Tom, you may want to check out the saturday edition of the "Globe & Mail" newspaper. It is one of Canada's two national newspapers. On saturday the have a "Personals" section that has a travel section. I have used the postings here to find some wonderful hotels and apartments in Canada and overseas. Most of the people advertising own the condos or apartments themselves and a few ads for Vancouver are always listed.

There is also a website for the Globe & Mail it is: www.globeandmail.com

Whoops! I don't want you going to the personals. I just logged onto the Globe & Mail site and it is the "Classifieds" that you want to click on. Next go to the "National Classifieds" and then click on the "Travel Personals". Baring that this should take you right there and currently there are some postings for Vancouver

http://www.globeandmail.com/services/site/classifieds.html
