Looking for a good restaurant in Toronto
My husband and I will be visiting Toronto this weekend (9/6 & 9/7)and was wondering if anyone had a good restaurant they would suggest? I'm looking for a good steak restaurant. If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear from you.

There are several top steak restaurants in Toronto although I haven't personally visited as I don't like steak. There's Morton's at Avenue/Bloor cnr, Barberian on Elm Street I think and one at the Harbourfront (whose name escapes me at the moment), but it is housed in the old Toronto Archives building. Enjoy.

High-end
House of Chan - yes it is called House of Chan, order the steak and/or steamed lobster and not the Chinese food. This is the favourite for many, including myself, but be forewarned about the 50s style decor. Little bit off the beaten path in mid-town.
Hys - downtown in financial district
Bardi's - financial district; traditional dark steakhouse
Harbour Sixty - newest steakhouse (2 yrs old or so); I have never been there but I'm told it is very expensive and good
Moderate
Le Biftheque, Sheraton Centre
Tulip, in Beaches area; is a reincarnation of a Toronto institution

DON'T GO TO HARBOUR HOUSE SIXTY. This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. Read the rants and raves. I am not the only one who has experienced terrible service, cold food, rude wait staff and average steak. Toronto has too many good restaurants to try this one.
