Lodging St Stephens/Calais, ME

I am posting this on both the US and the Canadian message boards.

Does anyone know of an inexpensive, clean motel for one night enroute from Portland to St Stephens? I just need a clean place to shower and lay my head and have been searching fruitlessly online to find something that I think might not be eaten up with bed bugs.

I am looking at Calais (or some where close) and St Stephens, but prefer to stop before crossing into Canada.
