We are planning a10 day trip to visit our daughter in Vancouver and as she cannot accommodate us, then we think a B&B or an Inn with kitchenette would serve us well. We are also bringing our other 20 yr old daughter and hope to find a place that will allow us to all stay together in 1 room. SO far I have got responses from 2 B&Bs that are up to $155. a night so that is too steep for us. Any other ideas or places?

which month are you travelling?
$155/night is actually cheap for what you want in this neighbourhood-my home for decades.
I suggest doing a search on http://www.vrbo.com and also the local Craigslist for vacation rentals.
http://www.ubcconferences.com/ UBC-bit of a long shot but worth checking out.
http://www.kitsilano.ca/stay/ an extensive but slightly dated list of area accommodation options.
Try here:
http://www.shaughnessyvillage.com
It's a little east of Kitsilano, but quite convenient. It offers a full breakfast, but no kitchenette so far as I can see.
You could get a 3-person room on Hotwire, probably for rather less than $155 per night, but you couldn't be guaranteed the kitchenette (unless you find a Hotwire listing which has that).
I can't see three people in one of those 'ship's cabin sized ' suites @ the Shaughnessy especially if they want to cook.
It's great option for one person but not for 3.
No B&B recs but when visiting Kitslano definitely eat @ Vij's which has just about the best Indian food I have ever eaten.
Sam, I knew the suites for one person are small, but I guess I thought if they were advertising a suite for three, it would be larger. But I don't know personally, I should say.
