Bear Hill Lodge is the only one located in the town of Jasper. The others are on the Athasbasca River. From what I have read, Pine Bungalows offers rustic accommodation, no frills. Beckers is located about 10 km/6 miles from town, Pine and Tekarra are just out of town. Two others that you didn't mention that are both rated well in the reviews at tripadvisor.com are Patricia Lake Bungalows and Alpine Village; another is Pyramid Lake Bungalows.

If you are coming before September, you better get making those reservations....

We stayed at Beckers last year and loved it. It's not far from the town of Jasper...just outside of it. Elk & their young were grazing in the common grassy area when we awoke in the a.m.!

Highly recommend Alpine Village--have stayed there the past four years and have always had a great stay.

We just came back from a one week stay at a cabin at Tekarra Lodge. The location was absolutely beautiful.....overlooking the convergence of the Miette and Athabasca Rivers. We had access to dozens of lovely hikes, without getting into our car. BUT....the cabin itself was really cramped and the cabins are placed quite close to each other. It depends on what you can put up with.

We loved Beckers! Be sure to ask for one of the cabins closest to the river. I felt like I was in a zoo with all the elk walking around! It was quite a show ( in September)

Another vote for Alpine Village!

We've stayed there 6 times and in a variety of their cabins. Wonderfully clean! Lots of elk wandering by and grazing on the property. You are directly across from the Athabasca River.

They do not have a restaurant on the property, but we didn't mind. We either cooked our own in the cabin or ate at nearby restaurants.

I already have 3 cabins booked for September, but I had to book them back in January. They fill quickly!
