King City and surrounding

Can anyone tell me what it's like to live in King City? It seems to be a very small town that is up and coming. Is there anything to do though? We are looking to purchase a home there because we can get a bigger lot size than in Toronto. We have two boys that love to play soccer in the backyard. The area looks beautiful but is it too rural where I'd have to travel far for shopping or a good restaurant? We are looking for a home with a half acre or more. We also have dogs that are used to a yard. Also, are there young families that live there? My husband and I are in our mid and late 40's with a teen and a tween. Are there people our age because I am seeing a lot of older people in the pictures online of the area. I'd like scenery but not at the expense of being able to form a group of friends.
