Kelowna BC One day visiting a friend

I love the outdoors and since i am only staying in Kelowna for one day. I was wondering if there was something unique or breathtaking that we can do close by, maybe like a 2-3 hour drive away or less, or just enjoy kelowna for that day? Any thoughts? It will also be my first time in Canada.

If our friend is in Kelowna -- wouldn't s/he be the one to ask?

There are boat tours on the lake.

Her direct response was "Eric you tell me what you want to do because I don't know where to take you" So she is willing to do anything with me. Her sister is letting us stay with her in Vancouver from April 15th to the 18th. Checking Stanley Park when I arrive. Next day Going to Squamish up the Gondola and taking a scenic drive down with a few stops. And the Capilano Bridges, Granville Market, and Chinatown on the 17th.
driving to Kelowna where my friend lives on the the morning of the 18th.I plan to see bridal Veil Falls, Othello Bridge, and Hell's Gate (I believe that is the name).
And the 19th in Kelowna or doing a 2-3 hour drive somewhere close.
ANd i leave the morning of the 20th.
She isnt a big fan of bugs, walking or sweating. LOL But she will do it if her friends want to. She is more of a city person.

And immimi. We aren't a wine enthusiast since we don't drink. But the place looks very beautiful. If we were to go, we would just explore so thank you for the idea but i will think about it. If you have any more ideas, I would love to hear them.

Hi there, it looks like you will have some decent weather for your visit!
FYI the trip to Kelowna takes about 4 hours without stops. Add in at least an hour for Bridal Falls.

Othello Tunnels is closed at the moment, see info here:

http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/exp...oquihalla_cyn/

And sorry to say but Hell's Gate doesn't open until April 29.
You should be taking the Coquihalla Highway to Merritt and the Connector to Peachland and Kelowna. It is a very picturesque drive and you will enjoy that.
Here is a website with ideas for Kelowna:

Have fun!
