Jasper vacation home/condo rental for 5

Hi
I was looking for a rental for 3-4 days for 3 adults and 2 kids in July 2016(in jasper).
Could you recommend some places?
Thanks

There are no private vacation rentals in Jasper due to strict park regulations about who can live in the parks.

Briefly, since development is extremely limited in the park townsites (Jasper, Banff, Lake Louise, Field) - i.e. they cannot expand - only those who are working in the parks are allowed to live or rent property in the townsites. Otherwise it would end up like Canmore where 'vacation homes' sit empty much of the year while locals struggle to find affordable housing. Even now businesses in Jasper have a hard time finding workers because there is so little available housing and what is available is priced so high.

So if you want to stay in Jasper, you'd need to either choose one of the hotels with bungalow style housing (Jasper Park Lodge, Patricia Lake, Bear Hill etc.) or find a private home accommodation.
The latter are essentially B&Bs, though few actually serve meals. Many have kitchenettes or at least fridge/microwave so you can prepare some meals. You'd need to find a place that can accommodate 5 people in a workable configuration, but that shouldn't be an issue so far in advance. Most are listed at www.stayinjasper.com, though you will likely need to call or e-mail to find out availability. No need to do that now - early 2016 would be more than far enough in advance.

Unfortunately no - they would be listed on a variety of sites. A google search is probably going to be your best friend.

Note that while rentals are permitted in Canmore, not everything listed is legal. I strongly encourage people to only go with legit rentals (i.e. ensure that they have a valid business license) because illegal rentals take away desperately needed housing from local workers. And without workers in restaurants/shops/guiding companies, Canmore would struggle.
