Jasper for one night from Banff?

Jump to last reply

We planned five nights in Banff thinking we might go to Jasper for the day, not realizing that it is a three hour drive each way. My question is, with the short time we have, does it make sense to spend one night at the end of our trip in Jasper or are we better off concentrating on Banff/Lake Louise? It sounds like the drive on the Icefields Parkway is beautiful. I would appreciate any advice. We love hiking and like to see things foot rather than from a car.
