My husband and I are making our first trip abroad next August to Newfoundland. I have been planning for weeks and found all of your posts really helpful. I have prepared an initial itinerary and would appreciate any comments. We love the outdoors and hiking which will be our focus. We are planning to stay in b&bs and cabins.
5th August- Arrive in St Johns and stay overnight
6th August- Drive to Grand Falls and stay overnight
7th August- Drive to Gros Morne and stay at Gros Morne Cabins for 6 nights
13th August- Drive to Twillingate and stay 2 nights
15th August- Drive to Trinity and stay for 4 nights. Visit Bonavista nd Terra Nova Park from here
19th August- Drive to Hearts Delight and stay 3 night(to include our 20th anniversay! sorry I know it's corny I couldn't resist)
22nd August- Return to St Johns(exhausted) and explore surounding area before returing to Uk on 26th August.
Are we planning too much? Also does anybody know where I can buy a decent road atlas of newfoundland. I have the free one from the tourist place which is great but I'm not sure if it is detailed enough.
Thanks for your help.
