The Le Germain is one of my favorite recent hotel experiences. It is sophisticated and "hip," with incredibly gracious service and attention to detail. It is the ultimate "modern boutique" hotel and you won't be disappointed.

We just got back from Montreal tonight. We stayed at the Le Germain for the second time and it was perfect!
The service is excellent, the rooms are beautiful and so comfortable. This time I noticed some of the small things, the sheets and towels are Frette, they do a lovely turn down service, when you come back the rooms cd player is always on something quiet and French, there are chocolates on the pillows and the lights are set on low..now how romantic is that???
They serve a great continental breakfast every morning, from very early until around 10:30am. You can go to the Mezzanine floor where the coffee/espresso machines are, and get your own drinks all through the day(free) . There is free internet service. There is a fireplace in the lobby, big soft sofas, it snowed while we were there and it was quiet cozy.
We had a queen room, with a view, the Vogue doesn't look like it has much of a view, it is down on a side street off of the main shopping street, which is very congested and busy.

Can you provide guidance on rates? We're on a budget, but since its honeymoon planning, we do want it romantic. This hotel offer any newly wed specials? I am paying and have a limit. Whatever you can suggest would be very helpful to my future hubby and myself.

www.hotelgermain.com will get you rates and the toll free number.Call anyway-
We asked for a Queen room, high floor, and the desk person said that room had a nice view. *Last years room was a King, the view was nothing but the room was huge and the bathroom includes a huge tub and shower, the Queen is a shower only-although it is also huge, all glass, like you are just standing in a room with water hitting you)
Mention that it is your anniversary, or whatever, they do something special for you. Last year it was a bottle of champagne, this year was an assortment of sweets and a small bottle of wine.
Our room was $235 CAD/ about $199 USD.
The buffet breakfast is included.
VAT is about 17%
The people that answer the phone will answer questions, the Concierge is named Nicholas, and the manager is Valentine (a guy-discuss your needs and pocketbook and see if they can help.
Good luck!
