Hi,
We are looking to Honeymoon over approximately a 2 week period in August. We are coming from England so will fly and we want to enjoy the nature and time together. Our rough plan is to spend the majority of our time in the Rockies, probably Banff and we won't have a car (possibly for the whole time, or we could for part of it...) We also want to visit Niagara Falls and the Iceburgs at St Johns. I have worked out flying between each of these that's not a problem and we're aware of the distance. The plan is to spend 1-2nights at Niagara and St Johns each. Are there any other attractions/places we should visit that I've missed? Neither of us have ever been to Canada!
Any accommodation recommendations would be great! We would like to get a lodge that is a bit out of the way in Banff or at least not on a massive holiday complex...any tips?
Anywhere to stay in St Johns or Niagara that could be recommended would also be great!
Any activities/restaurants/anything else anyone can recommend in any of these areas would be great!
Thank you!

You're not likely to see icebergs near St. John's in August as the best time is May, June and early July. As well, the best places in Newfoundland to see icebergs are the Northern Peninsula and the Twillingate area, both of which are a long way from St. John's. I would stick to the Rockies and Niagara Falls.
In Niagara Falls, you could spend your time between a fallsview room overlooking the Falls and just 20 minutes away in Niagara on the Lake is a massive wine region and the Shaw festival in a small village full of romance... there are also small cottage rentals or full 5 star hotels... your choice
I agree that you don't need to tack on St. John's on this trip, even though Newfoundland should be saved for another time as it is marvelous, but massive distances from place to place.
Is your flight open-jawed? if so it would seem like a good idea to fly into Calgary, rent a car there, drive into the Rockies, explore Banff (stay at the Banff Springs Fairmont Hotel-it is a large complex, but has such history and atmosphere)....maybe Lake Louise. Then back to Calgary, fly to Toronto, car to Niagara and Niagara Falls (but stay in Niagara-on-the-Lake, far more romantic). Back to TO for flight home.
