Halifax for half a day

Jump to last reply

My son and I are traveling to Halifax at the end of August. We're arriving late on Friday night, and have plans to drive to Mahone Bay (actually Oak Island) and thereabouts on Saturday morning. We'll likely be finished there by 1pm, and then we fly out again very early on Sunday morning. But we do have the remainder of the day to do - something.

What would you recommend? Since we'll be coming back from the Mahone Bay area, should we try to see Peggy's Cove? (I know it also depends on the fog/weather). Other than needing to be at the airport by around 5am on Sunday, we are open for Saturday afternoon/evening.

It's a crazy trip, I know. I think we'll be exhausted on the plane ride back home, but I'm looking forward to it.

Thanks in advance!
