Trying to plan a trip for June that requires I get myself to Inuvik in NWT, Canada. Quick search for flight from is are VERY expensive . . . $1200 per person from Edmonton to Inuvik. This was with Canada North. Anyone know of alternative airlines, connecting points, trans options besides flying all the way?

Almost everyone going to Inuvik has a good reason, related to someone who is already there.
So they may be a good source of info on how to get there on the day you want.
Lots of companies in the north charter planes for their staff and just might have room for business guest on the same flight, if you ask.
When you look where Inuvik is, $1200 does not see outlandish to me. Not a lot of travellers going there.
