Hi Canadian Friends,
We will be cruising from Boston to Halifax, Charlottetown PEI, Gaspe Peninsula, Saguenay River, then to Quebec City Oct. 5-12. We are thinking of paying extra for a balcony. We are aware it will be rather cool, but now wondering if many of those places will be fogged in? Opinions?
Thank you!
Linda

Hello, Linda:

On coastal locations fog, while expected, can never be predicted. Sometimes you get fog in early October. But you can just as easily get it in June. You have to remember that it is not constant fog. The fog does lift.
So,I would definitely go with the balcony for your "non-foggy" times. I think you will enjoy it and it is well worth the additional cost ( at least, for me, it is worth it!)
You may already know this: Canadian Thanksgiving is Monday, October 8 this year. I wonder if your cruise ship will be serving a traditional Thanksgiving dinner that evening.
Happy Sailing!
