Few hours to myself in Toronto, what to see?

I am heading to Toronto on business for a few days and I will probably have a few hours to half a day to myself. Any suggestions on what to do/see? I enjoy sightseeing, shopping, etc.
Thanks for your help!

Where are you staying? That might make a difference. Will you be close to the subway?

CN Tower from the inside if its a nice day, Royal Ontario Museum (under renovation but open and rich in antiquities and natural history), Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), Hockey Museum, Toronto Island for nature and city-views, Yorkville for shopping...take your pick depending on your tastes and time...as Susan said, the subway will give you access to all these and more,

There is an Andy Warhol exibition at the Art Museum for a short time longer... The neighborhood near the museum is Yorkville and offers restaurants, boutiques and nice walk...that would be my recommendation...

There is no Art Museum in Toronto. Tehre is the Royal Ontario Museum, and some other museums, including the Bata Shoe Museum.

And there are lots of art galleries, including The Art Gallery of Ontario, which is where the Warhol exhibit is, until October 22.

The Art Gallery of Ontario is on Dundas Street West, between McCaul and Beverley, which is several blocks west of University Avenue and a short walk from the St. Patrick subway station at University and Dundas.

The Art Gallery of Ontario is nowhere near Yorkville, but it is close to one of Toronto's many Chinatowns.

Restaurants adjacent to the AGO are pretty dumpy, but you can walk over to Chinatown to get a decent mean at several levels of fanciness, starting at really low and going to medium.

And iofyou want three t-shirts for ten bucks, Chintown's your place.

The Roayl Ontario Museum is always worth a few hours, and lots of people enjoy the Bata Shoie Museum, both in or adjacent to Yorkville, where you can also find fancy restaurants -- lucnch for $100 if you want -- and fancy stores, where you can buy $100 t-shirts. Museum subway, St. George Subway, , Bay subway, and Yonge and Bloor subway stops are all convenient for the Royal Ontario Museum and Yorkville shopping.

BAK - There is no ROAYL Ontario Museum in Toronto...

However there is an Andy Warhol exhibit at the Art Gallery of Ontario through October 22... It is called "Supernova: Stars, Deaths, and Disasters, 1962-1964... It was my mistake to use Art Museum rather than Gallery... My Bad

I don't think I am quite getting Gary's point...there is a Royal Ontario Museum (known by all as the ROM) but that is not where the Warhol exhibit is...however, the ROM is fabulous for a visit, esp, if you like contraversial renovations, one of which it is undergoing VERY publically right this minute.
