Cutting a day in Newfoundland

Jump to last reply

We made the decision to include Gros Morne in our 2 week trip to Newfoundland in early July, and have the following itinerary. However, we need to cut one day.

Our first thought is to cut a day from Rocky Harbour, but I wonder if that's a more unique place, and that perhaps it'd be better to cut a day somewhere else. I guess what I'm asking is if some of our other stops are similar in scenery, and Gros Morne is different. Definitely want to do Western Brook while there, plus some other hikes. We like to hike and see beautiful scenery.

Nights 1,2,3 St John's (arriving about midnight
Night 1)

Nights 3, 4, 5 Twillingate

Nights 6, 7, 8, 9 Rocky Harbour

Nights 10, 11, 12 Port Union

Nights 13, 14 Witless Bay

Night 15 St John's to return car and early
morning flight home

Am interested in hearing your thoughts.
