We go south for the winter for extended periods of time and fine http://www.medipac.com/ to be the most reasonable for us. For shorter stays we have also used the BCAA insurance. The Canadian website is http://www.caa.ca/ but you can go to your home province from there.
There are many more companies, I am sure someone else will recommend some.
