Hello. We are a group of four couples who will be finishing up a week hiking trip in Yoho. We would like a nice hotel, good comfort standard, shuttle to airport if possible. The Hilton Garden Inn looks like it would work. Does anyone have any personal experience there?
We like to have a special last night dinner. We will be arriving from Banff area. Should we stop in Canmore or is there a great place in the vicinity of the airport?
Thanks!

There are a number of resturants within a 5 minutes drive of the Hilton Garden. My favourite anytime of day is Chianti's 2805 32nd Ave N.E. it is a nice little Italian restuarant with great food and good wine. For the carnivore the Cattle Barron is just across the street from Chianti's and the Greenwood Inn which is also quite nice also and has a great Sunday brunch. There is also Earl's, Tony Romas and Moxies.
After blabbling I just noticed this was from 2 weeks ago so you might already know this.
thanks so much, Mr.Short1. I had given up hope of getting an answer! You gave me just the information I was seeking. Sounds like this is the place!
You mention Canmore and coincidentally there was an article in the Globe & Mail today about the Canadian Culinary Championships where a chef from Canmore will be competing. Her name is Jan Hrabec and she's from Crazyweek Kitchen in Canmmore.

Might be worthwhile checking it out. Earl's, Tony Romas and Moxies are all chains. Not that there's anything wrong with them, but maybe they wouldn't really be all that 'special'.
Hola Susan, are you headed to Latin America this winter?
Thank you for the suggestion in Canmore. We will be there at least once or twice during our stay so will follow up on that.
Best wishes for the holiday season.
Hi Mary. We're going to Argentina & Uruguay in late Feb - a longer flight than our usual trips to Mexico or Central America, but looking forward to it!
Happy Thanksgiving to you!
Perfect! I went to Argentina a few years ago and it was a wonderful trip. Where will you spend your time, BsAs or the countryside?
Mary, I've lost your email address - if you still have mine, please send me an email and we can 'talk'. If not, I'll see if I can track you down on Tripadvisor.
Thanks!
Susan
