bringing alcohol from Canada to US

Jump to last reply

Returning from Europe, many of us have discovered that we weren't charged for bringing back wine or brandy (which we declared on the form) in excess of our free limit.

Has anyone had similar experiences with flying back to the US from Canada?

Keith

PS: I am sure it wouldn't work crossing by car. Once when returning from Ontario, I declared that my tennis racket had been re-strung in Canada. They made me wait for 30-40 minutes while they looked up the duty. Finally they charge me something, but I wasn't sure if they had made the amount up.
