Billy Elliot-good restaurant nearby

Heading to a matinee next week. Any recommendations for dinner after in the general vicinity. No chains, great food and not high end?

I thought I'dalredy suggested Mr.Greenjean's, in the Eaton Centre. There may be several branches, but it's not a big chain.

But how far are you willing to walk?

Shopsy's, in the Sheraton Centre, is another relatively low priced restaurant, good food, but again, there's more than one branch.

Is the target $40 for two, or $100 for two?

The Senator is right on Victoria Street across from the entrance to the theatre.

Quinn's Steakhouse is in the Sheraton on Queen.

Hi, irec!

How cld a comment about a restaurant possibly be removed by Fodor's? I noticed the same thing happened when BAK started a "Billy Elliot Restaurant" thread for me a while ago. Same poster, same offensive comment? I missed both but now I am curious!!

How about posting back after BE regarding the show & restaurants? We are going in May.

MG, The Senator looks interesting.

I saw the advertisement that was removed-nothing offensive, it was just an ad.

Thanks morningglory for mentioning The Senator. I havent been there in about 10 years but do remember it to be a nice place. I seem to remember finer dining on one side for dinner and a diner on the other and we have only done the fine dining. Hope the arrangement is still the same.

Thanks BAK for your suggestions .

Ocean, I will post back. My friend saw it last week and said she loved it (although the first 10 minutes were slow.)

Billy Elliot was an absolute delight!! We all LOVED it!

Afterwards we went to the Eatons centre for a few hours and my moms feet gave out so we ate at Mr Greenjeans. I had a delicious salad with tuna and was quite pleased.
