Is it possible to bike across the island? Many of the travel books on PEI suggest renting a car, but barely anything on cycling around the island. I want to get from Charlottetown to Cavendish on a bike. Is that too crazy?
Thanks

I have a friend, a woman who can charitably described as 'no longer young', who did just that for 2 weeks last year, went everywhere on PEI by Bike-no problems, she and her friend had quite the time, B&B's, small Inns, the lot.
Lovely place from the photos.
The people who rent bikes know the place well and are happy to help.
She principally stuck to the TC Trail. www.tctrail.ca
I was curious about the distance. Apparently it's 39km (24 miles) between Cavendish and Charlottetown. I'm sure it can be done as long as you're in shape
