traveling from Montreal in the fall to Quebec city to the cruise port joining a ship ...wondering which way you all prefer..? I am an experienced traveler n open to suggestions..

Bus will be cheaper. Train will be more comfortable. Montreal is subject to grievous traffic congestion and so to a smaller extent is Quebec City, while the VIArail train leaves from the centre of Montreal and arrives just on the edge of Quebec City's more constricted core. The QC station is beside the harbour under the city walls.

We have done both, and the bus was way cheaper and juse as easy... make sure it's a direct bus with no stops...

I never take a bus if a train is available. It is usually more comfortable, with better toilets, plus you can get up and move around. Your luggage is also where you can see it. Not being stuck in traffic is a big plus, too.

thanks sounds like train for me...especially since Southam indicated the trains QC station is at the harbor which I want to be closer to the cruise ship upon arrival...
