Best seafood restaurant in Montreal
We`re in Montreal. Woohoo!
Can anyone recommend us a fresh, high-quality seafood restaurant? We went to Cafe Ferreira last year based on the recommendations from fodorites and it was great. This year we want to try a different seafood restaurant. Thanks!

I once happily spent $400 of someone else's money on a seafood lunch in the bar outside of the Beaver Club, in the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel.
There was a bit of good wine involved, several lobsters, and a giant seafood trays of oysters, clams, shrimps, etc.
At the otehr end of the spectrum, summer in Montreal often includes specials in Greek (and other) restaurantss where they serve two smallish lobsters as a special deal.
Sidewalk cafe, outdoors, nice atmosphere, and all the lobsters I've eaten at these places have been very good.

Milos on avenue du Parc is a fantastic fish and seafood place; make sure to visit the women's washroom, worth the trip to see the decor (I know , this sounds odd, but trust me)
It's a very short cab ride from downtown.

Milos is top top but very very expensive. Faros is also excellent(but also expensive) on Fairmount: tel: 270-8437. There is another portuguese restaurant that opened 2 months ago called Portus Calle on St. Laurent-my friends loved it tel:849-2070

Check out Chez Leveque in Outremont! They have seafood "festivals" when oysters, crab, lobsters and so forth are in season. Amazing offerings, reasonable prices, delightful ambiance, friendly service.
Another fine destination is Marche Movenpick. For seafood, atmosphere, and everything imaginable.
